konzept=Ok,so what is Weirdelic(pronounced-"we`re delic"-a combination of the words "weird"and "delic",as in "psychedelic","funkadelic","shagadelic"-etc.)all about? Basically it`s the name of a record label,run by it`s Artists! The Artists ,at the Time of launch,(spring 2003)are: *Weirdelic Sound *Akadalik *Gringotone *Tone *Ziad all these projects are created by four individual multi- instrumentalist Musicians/Producers/DJs: *Akadalik a.k.a. Selekta Akadalik,a.k.a.Commander Zdankovich *Gringo *Tone a.k.a Tonio Neuhaus *Ziad Ragheb Tunes that are somehow done by all of the above together are usually labelled as WeirdelicSound Tracks. These are performed exclusively at WeirdelicSound Livesets, eventhough some have already made their way to being recorded and available on this here Label! Then there`s Akadalik-Akadalik`s solo works-sometimes with contributions from other weirdelic crew members and of course also by other special guest musicians and performers,but the basic Tracks are always original Akadalik Compositions. Gringotone is a Project-yes,u already guessed it-where Gringo and Tonio team up to make Tunes as a Duo. Ziad is more of a live Performer-mainly a Vocalist and Guitarist,also writing his own original Material-he has recently produced some of his stuff with help of the Gringotone production Duo. On Top of that,we all come up with our own individual Tunes,team up with other projects and artists,and doing Remixes as well! So what does it all sound like? Well,that is the most complicated question to answer,because we think our range of sounds is quite broadband! First of all we`d say its a mixture of both electronic and acoustic sounds. Since we`ve originated from the era where one still had to be able to play an instrument to create Music ,each of us plays at least one if not numerous. And since we `ve grown up and matured in the age of musical Digitechnology we`ve also learned how to use the benefits of electronic devices and gadgets to our advantage. In additon to that,we all consider ourselves Musiclovers without genre-typical Boundaries, meaning,we have a Love for Music in general. Of course we have our Favourites,and yes-there`s also plenty Stuff out there we can`t stand-but basically we like all true,soulful music with Quality and Style,ranging from the likes of Country,Jazz,Folk,Rock;Soul;Funk;Reggae;HipHop,House,Breakbeats,Drum`nBass,etc.pp. If asked what kind of Music we produce,we`d mostly say: everything from Downbeat/HipHopTracks(slow!)up to Drum`nBass-tempo(fast!)and everything in between-in an up-to-date Club/Dj-Music context. This ,of course also includes House,2-Step and Breakbeat kind of Tunes. I`m bringing up the Club/Dj Subject,because both Akadalik and Gringo are very active Dj`s- playing at various events,clubs,etc.,and are holding their own regular residency spots at HolyHome,Munich City,Germany. Two Genres ,we all share a common interest and devotion for,are Dub and Funk. That`s about the most,that can be expressed with easy written Words,so we just like to let the Music.speak for itself!
